2013 International Conference on Alternative Energy in Developing Countries and Emerging Economies (2013 AEDCEE) has been organized at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel, Thailand during 30th-31st May 2013.
An objective of this conference is to encourage the international exchange of discussion through plenary and invited lectures, oral presentations of science and technology focusing on alternative energy and related research. The conference also helps broaden participant's academic network.
2013 AEDCEE International Conference contained of 9 main categories:
In this conference, the participants will present their concerned energy technology research and exchange experience in technologies. In addition, various presentations about energy policy and new technology development were presented by invited speakers from Thai government and institutes. Therefore, this conference is interesting and appropriate for researcher, academic staff, student and the others.

Owing to the tradition and culture, Buddhist and Brahmin people usually perform cremation to the forebear's corpse. At present, mostly of crematory in Thailand is the traditional type, which there is no pollution control system and usually take effect to the people who live near. Although the modern type of crematory that uses petroleum fuel has been replaced the traditional one, increasing of the fuel price has taken to the cremation operation cost and also affects to the low income people. Furthermore, the greenhouse gas released from petroleum combustion need to be considered. Accordingly, it is necessary to study for the appropriateness of advanced renewable energy resources that can reduce cremation cost and pollution.
Biomass gasification presents turning organic fuels into gaseous compounds by supplying less oxygen than that is usually needed for complete combustion of a fuel. The main product of the producer gas contains flammable gas such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen and some trace of methane, which can be used as fuel in gas engine for electricity generation or heat generation in the small or medium scale factory. Owing to the biomass producer gas that can be combusted easily than solid biomass can, thus, it is possible to apply biomass gasification for cremation process.
At first, I had a chance to presented for my research, which is shown as follow information:
Topic | Biomass gasification utilization for double chambers crematory |
---|---|
Authors | Yaowateera Achawangkul, Naoki Maruyama, Chatchawan Chaichana and Masafumi Hirota |
Session | Bio-Energy: Biomass, Bio-Fuel, Biogas, Combustion, Co-Firing and Gasification |
After I finished my presentation, I obtained some comment about my presented research from the specialists and participants about research ideas. Consequently, I hope to refer about comment I obtained for developing in the biomass energy conversion research, including other concerning researches in future.

By conclusion, this international conference preferred good several opportunities for the graduate student, researcher and other person who interesting in. The participants have a chance to interchange for their knowledge and experience together, which they can apply to their own research or create more interesting and fruitfully researches in future.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge for Marubun Research Promotion Foundation for the budget support for this international conference.
