The 8th International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering (ICSEE 2024) was held in Brisbane, Australia from February 2-4, 2024, which are co-sponsored by the University of Tasmania, Australia and Central Queensland University, Australia.
The objective of the conference is to provide a premium platform to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, academics, companies, and graduate students to share up-to-date research results. Considering the wide range of applications and depth of research field the organizers welcomed abstracts for oral presentations. The total number of attendees for this conference was more than 200 researchers came from Japan, USA, Peru, Thailand, Singapore, Denmark, UK, Egypt, South Korea, UAE, China, India, Australia etc.
The conference has provided to get a theoretical grounding, practical knowledge, and personal contacts which helps to build long-term, profitable, and sustainable communication among researchers and practitioners in the related scientific areas.
The conference was divided into plenary sessions, technical sessions, oral sessions, and tours. The conference covers wide topics in the fields of Renewable Energy, Energy conversion and management, Thermal Engineering, Energy chemistry, etc. The program is composed of the keynote speeches delivered respectively by Prof. Xiaolin Wang (University of Tasmania, Australia), Prof. Mohammad Rasul (Central Queensland University, Australia), Prof. Firoz Alam (RMIT University, Australia), Assoc. Prof. Wenming Yang (National University of Singapore, Singapore), etc.
I have presented my research findings on "Interfacial Energy Barrier Tuning in MnO2/MoS2/Carbon Fabric for Highly Efficient Wearable Thermoelectric Generator". My research topic on wearable thermoelectric generators attracted many researchers and Professors to interact. The discussions were fruitful, and I had a good chance to move forward in getting international collaborations. The interest was due to high-power conversion efficiency at room temperature, which is one of the promising thermoelectric materials.
I have attended technical sessions related to the recent development of Compressed Air Energy Storage Technologies. There was an interesting talk by Prof. Xiaolin Wang, University of Tasmania, Australia. Dr. Seyed Amir Hosseini, Aalborg University, Denmark has explained the utilization of wind farms and electric vehicles to mitigate the first and second frequency dips in power systems. And we had a technical session on Renewable Energy and Energy Conversion with scientific discussions.
Participating in ICSEE-2024 was a valuable occasion, and it allowed me to grow both as an individual and as a researcher. I have participated in many international conferences so far, so I could communicate with foreign professors and interact with them. During my presentation, I had a good scientific discussion and interaction with renowned professors and scientists.
It was interesting to see presentations by researchers and Professors from different fields from materials to engineering aspects which I don't normally have the opportunity to interact with, and it allowed me to think about compatibility and development with my research theme. In addition, I actively participated in sessions related to myself at academic conferences. By listening to presentations by other researchers, I was able to learn new perspectives and approaches. Furthermore, I was able to deepen my understanding of the latest trends in related research fields.
Prof. Xiaolin Wang (University of Tasmania, Australia) and Prof. Saeed Peyghami, Aalborg University, Denmark working in an Engineering aspect similar to my research allowing me to discuss our future collaboration.
